‘Shake the dust off your Shadow’ : Become “Be”

I don’t know if I should tell you this, but, this article had the possibility of at least three different ‘title themes’. Now, that you know, here’s my excuse ::: “all that is ‘hidden’ gets to be disclosed” (ref. Matthew 10:26 / Mark 4:22 / Luke 8:17 & 12:2). Note, also, this Blog ‘ties in with’: “Be” who you are : a truly unique ‘child of God’ (6/10/17).

We’re touching on the ‘fallout dust’ from “The Fall” ::: The  Lord God called Adam and said to him: “Where are you?” ::: Adam replied : “I heard your Voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself” (Genesis 3:9-10). Here, in a few ‘key quotes’, is the ‘revelation’ of our ‘human condition’. Adam and Eve lived in a ‘perfect world’ / in ‘perfect relationship’. All they had to “do” was trust God’s goodness / obey God’s word. But, ‘all was lost’ when our first parent’s ‘instinct’ and ‘intellect’ was “tempted” to “act” at ‘cross purposes’ (Genesis 3:1-5). Thus, the ‘father of lies’ (The Devil) began his ‘world-wide-campaign’ of deception, falsity and lies’ – causing ‘consternation’ (with ‘con-facts’ / ‘con-flicts’ / ‘con-fusion’)

The above ‘scenario’ is the ‘key’ to understanding our ‘dysfunctional civilization’. We ‘struggle to survive’ in deep ‘default’ mode ::: ‘caught-up’ in continuing to play Adam and Eve’s ‘game’ of “hiding from reality’ / “refusing to face reality” / “taking refuge in all ‘kinds and modes’ of distraction” (e.g. ‘24/7 Smart Tech Devices’).

One such ‘game’ – an alternative ‘title theme’ for this article – is (surely) our tendency towards ‘RATIONALISATION’ = (we “HIDE” inside ourselves) = (internal ‘chatter’ / external ‘self acceptance’). This is ‘mind logic’ at its ‘best’ ::: always and forever ‘going-on-about’ and ‘looking-out-for’ one’s own (deep) ‘sense of self’ ::: seeking to make whatever ‘internal arguments’ that might ‘fit-in-with’ one’s ‘self accepted (and self imposed) limitations’ (i.e. ‘boundaries’). This is ‘mind fiction’ at its ‘worst’. It’s living in ‘dreamland’ ::: living in ‘one’s own cocoon’ ::: or, in #33 terms ::: ‘daily “doing” : stinking thinking / garbage’.

Another such ‘game’ – a different ‘title theme’ for this article – is (most assuredly) our “normality” for ‘SUPERFICIALITY’ = (we “HIDE” outside ourselves) = (external ‘chatter’ / internal ‘self denial’). This is ‘acting-out’ in ‘self contained aloneness’ ::: a ‘feeling logic’ that one’s life is ‘compressed / depressed / suppressed’) ::: engaging (mostly) in ‘transactional interactions’ and distancing oneself from ‘personal relationality’. Under the ‘OPTION TO LIVE’ we fail to recognise the ‘gift of God’. Under the ‘NEED TO OBSERVE LIFE’ we fail to acknowledge the ‘grace of God’. And, under the ‘PRINCIPLE OF BEING OPEN TO LOVE’ we fail to welcome the ’glory of God’. No wonder Jesus the Christ issued His ‘life giving invitation’ : “Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Now, if you bear with me, I will give you a “well earned break” on all the above ‘gobbledygook’ ::: ‘All problems are psychological / all solutions are spiritual’. In sum: ‘RATIONALISATION’ + ‘SUPERFICIALITY’ = “HIDE” (= #33) /  ‘So, WHERE are we to “HIDE”? We “HIDE” in the Lord!’ (= #33). There you have ‘IT’ ::: the ‘key’ to LIFE ::: ‘IT’ is not: ‘Information Technology ::: but ‘IT’ is: ‘Incarnation Trinity.

The ‘world of transactions’ (i.e. business primarily, but, often in ‘personal affairs’) focuses on ‘duality’ (‘trade off’). However, in the ‘world of gifting’ (i.e. spirituality) we partake in ‘tripartite’ (i.e. ‘trinity’) relationality ::: we “DRAW” (out) – “Die (to self) / Recognise / Acknowledge / Welcome” – the innate ‘goodness’ of God’s creation and creatures’. The ‘old life’ is ‘dead and buried with Jesus the Christ’ and the ‘new life’ is ‘resurrected and ascended with Jesus the Christ’ (also). What a ‘great victory’ ::: the ‘dust’ has fallen from our “image and likeness” (to God) and we PLAY / PRAY (‘Perfect Love Answers Yes’ / ‘Perfect Relationality Answers Yes’) as ‘child of God’ / ‘heirs’ to The Kingdom ::: ‘Glory and Praise to our God : in You I trust’ (= #33).
