The ‘VIA’ Way : Value Identity Affirmation

The ‘VIA’ concept – as per ‘title theme’ (in #33 mode) – has been around this website for quite some time, and, most recently, has become its ‘central focal point’ (see front page ‘logo’). Yes – as you can see – it translates into the shape of a CROSS, and that, too, is significant.

So, what are we talking about? The short answer is : ‘self-for-other’ love, which CREATES (i.e. ‘brings life into being’) and is about ‘respect / good’. This contrasts with : ‘self-for-self’ love, which DESECRATES (i.e. ‘seeks to destroy life’) and is about ‘disrespect / evil’.

If you go back to the ‘Beginning of Creation’ and ‘The Fall’ – and – this ‘Website’s Booklet / eBook (The “GLOW” of Happiness / ‘FIT’ for Purpose – – – exploring ‘social and spiritual disconnect’ in our lives) – you will find the ‘frame of reference’ for our ‘ponderings’ ::: “If we weren’t dis-functional we wouldn’t be normal” ::: yes ::: ‘The Fallout from the Fall’ (i.e. ‘darkened understanding, weakened will and strong inclination to evil’) manifests our innate ‘human default condition’, making us ‘miserable sinners’.

This ‘sinner / separation syndrome’ can be “grasped” (for the purpose of brevity) as follows ::: ‘all problems are psychological’ ::: ‘all solutions are spiritual’. So, if you ever wonder why people persist in – – – ‘doing what they do’ – – – you can “see” that they are “acting blind” (‘obsessively’ / ‘compulsively’) – – – compensating for their faulty ‘perception’ of their real ‘goodness’.

Yes, this ‘perception’ – ‘clouded’, rather than, ‘clear’ – leaves us in ‘limbo land’ when trying to deal with daily life contingencies ::: “I’m nobody” / “I’m no good” / “I’m not understood” :::  yes, indeed, ‘The Fall’ has ‘passed on’ a significant VOID in human life ::: but, the ‘Good News’ is ::: the CROSS of our Lord Jesus Christ reconciles all social (‘horizontal’) / spiritual (‘vertical’) DISORDER.

Ok, you may say, that’s all right in theory, but, ‘how on earth in heaven’s name’, can ‘mere humans’ translate that into ‘good practice’? Here, we turn our attention to the core ‘social / spiritual’ issue of ‘“RELATIONALITY’” – – –

‘Everyone wants and needs to be Accepted’

Spiritual ‘Fatherhood / Motherhood’ ‘“RELATIONALITY’” offers “Complete Acceptance” ::: Social ‘Father / Mother’ ‘“RELATIONALITY’” offers “Conditional Acceptance” ::: and in the latter (‘limbo zone’) we touch our “raw human root” ::: ‘perceived’ level of “acceptance” (‘connect’) vis-a-vis ‘perceived’ level of “rejection” (‘disconnect’). As a result, ‘vulnerable human beings’ adopt “fight” / “flight” reaction roles ::: hence, ‘survival default compensation’ is endemic in “daily life”. So, there is a ‘gap in the market’ for – – –

Helping ‘sinners’ reconnect with Christ

This is what this website (‘Konect 1-2-1’) is all about. The focus is on helping people “see” their ‘problems’ in terms of ‘invalid values, beliefs and modes of living’ and helping people “see” their ‘lives’ in the ‘context’ of Jesus the Christ – – –

Jesus the Christ is the perfect representation of an AFFIRMED / AFFIRMING person. To follow in his ‘footsteps’ it’s VITAL that the ‘individual and unique’ GIFT OF LIFE of each person ‘born into this world’ is AFFIRMED in terms of his or her ‘spiritual / social’ VALUE (as ‘God’s / Parents’ child) and in terms of his /her ‘spiritual / social’ IDENTITY (as ‘God’s / Parents’ family). Let’s pray : “Confident in the immensity of God’s Love I take authority, in the name of Jesus the Christ, over the ‘selfish disrespect / evil’ that is in me and the whole world, for God’s Glory and my salvation” : and, in your heart, form the ‘continuous habit’ of ‘expressing in faith’ :  ‘“Glory and Praise to our God : in You I trust’”.
