Is there something missing in your life?
This ‘7 word’ / ‘33 letter’ question seeks to ‘touch more deeply’ the “gap in the market” / the “market in the gap”, which we have – in other articles – identified as: ‘connectivity / relationality’.
Here’s are some ‘prompts’ to get you going! How do you ‘feel’ / ‘think’ about spiritual concepts, such as ::: “the divine will wants to ‘live life’ in you” (?) ::: “the divine will wants to ‘live love’ in you” (?) ::: “ the divine will wants to ‘love life’ in you” (?). Are you shocked? The Bible reveals the story of creation, as ::: God made ‘PRO’VISION (i.e. God’s VISION of ‘Perfect Relational Order’). And, Jesus the Christ said: “I have come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).
The ‘vital-follow-on’ questions, then, are ::: how does God ‘fit’ into your life? ::: how do you ‘fit’ into God’s life? ::: how ‘connected’ or ‘dis-connected’ is your life? In summary ::: how do you ‘experience’ life? In truth ::: the ‘heart of the matter’ is the ‘matter of the heart’.
We tend to forget that: “God is Love” & – in Trinitarian terms – “God is”: “the Love that Loves to Love”. Where have you – ever – in your life – come across such a “love” laden ‘introduction’ / ‘invitation’? The Bible tells it, as it is ::: “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart” (Proverbs 37:4).
This offer puts a whole new perspective on life. We are immediately ‘challenged and energised’ to “taste and see that the Lord is good” (Proverbs 34:8). Yes, we are ‘touching’ the essence of what is ‘reciprocal / mutual / complementary’ in life ::: ‘delight in the lord’ – connected with / related to – ‘desire in the heart’. What an awesome ‘promise / proposal / prospect’!
This ‘quid pro quo’ in life was set-out, as follows, in the last paragraph of the Booklet / eBook: The “GLOW” of Happiness / ‘FIT’ for Purpose: ‘We should recognise and acknowledge in our selves the God who made us in His own image, for if we do this, we in turn will be recognised and acknowledged by our Maker’. Ok – you might say – to whom shall we go? The Catechism of the Catholic Church gives answer ::: ‘Christ enables us to live in Him all that He Himself lived and He lives it in us’ (CCC 521) ::: “In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him” (1 John 4:9).
“Ok”, you may say, “that’s all very well in theory, but, how can I get ‘hands-on-this’ in practice?” Good question! Here’s the ‘real deal’: ‘’’God’s delight will deliver heart desire’”. This is the ‘key’ to: ‘the hidden treasure in your life’ / ‘the void in your heart’ / ‘connectivity relationality’.
What we are saying – (repeat the formula): “‘God’s delight will deliver heart desire’” – is: this ‘6 word’ / ‘33 letter’ memorandum is all you need: so, ‘grab hold of it’ / ‘eat and digest it’ / ‘tune into it’ (everyday). Wow! Hold on! wait a minute: we have to go deeper, yet ::: ‘Jesus the Christ is both the ‘delight’ & the ‘desire’ we are talking about’. Remember the ‘Incarnation’ story ::: ‘Jesus became what we are that we might become what he is’ i.e. an ‘other’ Christ. Now, I’m going to repeat the recipe again – not to fill space (on paper) / but to fill voids (in hearts) – “‘God’s delight will deliver heart desire’”. Got it? Maybe not! You may say: “I can’t believe it! Ok, Ok, Ok. Let’s break down this blueprint into its three dimensions ::: it’s “3 D’s” ::: (1) Delight (2) Deliver (3) Desire ::: 1st “‘God’s delight’” / 2nd ‘“will deliver’” / 3rd “‘heart desire’”. What this means – in the big picture, where God operates – the Trinity manifests ::: ‘“God in His action makes Himself present’” or ‘“God makes Himself present in His action’”.
As we have stated, already ::: God made ‘PRO’VISION ::: God’s ‘Love / Goodness / Delight’ is what ‘Perfect Relational Order’ is all about. We profess this in the prayer Jesus taught His disciples, the “Our Father”. So, when we ‘tune’ into God – see ‘PLAY’ & ‘PRAY’ in other articles – we ‘recognise / acknowledge / welcome’ His handiwork – ‘Creating Creation Creatures’ – and that’s our inheritance (as His adopted children) through Jesus the Christ. In summary: all we have to “do” is to ‘return home’ ::: like the Prodigal (son / daughter) to our Loving Father.
Note: St. Augustine – in recounting his LOST / FOUND experience – summed up what we are trying to say, as follows ::: “You have made us for yourself O’ Lord and our hearts are restless until they rest in You”. Believe it or not: St. Augustine was even more dramatic when he said – for all ‘child-like’ people, everywhere – “Love God and do as you please”. So, “Love God” & have everything ::: ‘your heart desires’ / ‘your heart needs’ / ‘your heart loves’. God is – in truth – our ‘one & only’ ‘Assured Blessed Companion’ (‘ABC’). And, if you have any difficulty trying to figure out ‘“God’s Delight’” keep in mind what you will be expressing (for ‘ever & ever & ever’) in heaven ::: “Glory and Praise to our God: in You I trust”.
Finally: In case you have not noticed: that ‘something’ mentioned in our ‘title / theme’ is – in reality – a ‘someone’ who is the ‘personification / embodiment / incarnation’ of JOY i.e. Jesus the Christ.
