‘3D’ : the ‘real me’!
As you are aware – if you read the previous article: ‘I found myself lost!’ – the only part of the front page presentation that shows ‘momentum’ is the representation (at the top lelf corner) of the ‘3 modes of being’: identified as: Single, Social, Spiritual. This is to be taken as significant (in terms of understanding): 3 dimensions of human life (Body, Soul, Spirit) & 3 dimensions of divine life (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).
Now, to give context to the above: I want you to reflect on what is implicit in the current “selfie” vogue. A “selfie” is a ‘little picture’ representing a ‘little idea’ (‘me’ confirming ‘myself’). This contrasts with the mystical revelation: “selflessie” is a ‘big picture’ representing a ‘big idea’ (‘me’ confirming ‘other’). Note: the ‘ie’, at the end of these two versions of ‘self’, can be taken to stand for: Imagination Expectation. However, attached to the ‘self’ mode they pose: “childish charade”; while attached to the ‘selfless’ mode they portray: “childlike character” (“unless you become childlike, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven”: Matthew 18:3). All these – ‘frames of reference’ – beg the question: what is “your” personal vision / ‘view point’? It makes all the difference in the world. Take note: ‘3D’ : the ‘real me’ : is certainly not about ‘me, myself & i’.
It’s time to get ‘real’! The human Abode that arrives, in the world, via the baby ‘delivery carousel’ is a human Body (like a unique piece of ‘hardware’) & a human Character (similar to a unique piece of ‘software’). At a superficial level we tend to see only the physical ‘image & likeness’ of the parents & we rejoice in the birth of a new person: boy or girl. However, at a deeper level we may overlook the intrinsic new personality, also involved. Yes, the new creation is ‘Body & Soul’ combined with a latent ‘Spirit’.
So, what are the challenges facing the new family unit (father, mother, child) when God’s (co-creation) ‘spark-of-life’ gifts an ‘other’ member of the human race? Our lack of awareness of the choices (& follow-on actions) involved – at this critical stage of babyhood – is astonishing in terms of their implications for peace or war. As is outlined in this website’s ‘founding’ eBook – The “GLOW” of Happiness / “FIT” for Purpose – two distinctly contrasting childhood / adulthood ‘story’ lines may unfold.
On the one hand: ‘Affirmed, Blessed, Celebrated’ babies have their emotions ‘switched-on’ & as a result enjoy, life-time, connected relationships. On the other hand: ‘Abandoned, Betrayed, Condemned’ babies have their emotions ‘switched-off’ & as a result endure, life-time, separated relationships. What these scenarios tell us is that “’RELATIONALITY’” – positive or negative – is at the centre of our ‘being’. The vital question that arises is: what is the state of “your” personal life ‘foundation & formation’? Is your Single, Social, Spiritual ‘mode of being’ built on the ‘home’ / ‘rock’ of an ‘Assured Base Camp’? (“your” very own ‘ABC’: the ‘secure space’ where you know & feel “you” belong). The consequences (positive or negative) could not be more different.
Did I mention war or peace? This is what St. Paul had to say on the matter: “Do not use harmful words in talking. Use only helpful words, the kind that build up & provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you. And do not make God’s Holy Spirit sad; for the Spirit is God’s mark of ownership on you, a guarantee that the Day will come when God will set you free. Get rid of all bitterness, passion & anger. No more shouting or insults. No more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind & tender-hearted to one another, & forgive one another, as God has forgiven you in Christ (Ephesians 4: 29 +).
‘Real’ life is the ‘inter-play’ of Body, Soul, Spirit under the generative “’LOVE’” outpouring of Father, Son, Holy Spirit. The profound implications of our 3 modes of ‘being’ (Single, Social, Spiritual) is that to be fully ‘human’ we need to experience 3 ‘births’ (‘AWAKENINGS’): Body, Soul, Spirit. In summary: these ‘3 dimensions’ combine to manifest the ‘real me’!
